SPAY/neuter ProgramS In Miami County |
|
Each year over seven million dogs and cats are euthanized. The number one reason for euthanasia is the inability to find homes for all of these animals. We want to encourage you to do your part in reducing this problem by having your pets spayed and/or neutered as soon as you can. This simple act will not only reduce the number of unwanted pets, but will help your pet stay healthier and happier. 4. Feral Cat Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) Program: The TNR technique has been proven to be the most humane and cost-effective method for controlling overpopulation of feral cats. Miami County Humane Society has established a relationship with local veterinarians to provide low cost spay/neuter services for feral cats. Contact Teresa Lynn at (937) 698-7322 for more information. Please click on “Kitty Korner” and print off the “TNR Feral Cat Workshop Handout” and visit www.alleycat.org for more information on the TNR technique.
